New Term, New Problems

To line up the sil's

AFAIR

1) Remove the lamp trays,

2) roughly set the lamps to the horisontal and align the center of the filament with the horisontal line on the back of the lamptray (if marked)

3) bring the lamp up a tiny tiny little fraction - you just want enough current passing through the filament to see it through the lenses

4) focus the lamp on it's own filament looking (carefuly) into the lens

5) carefuly ajust the height tilt and rotation of the filament os that it is centered when looking on axis

(AFAIR this is the way to do it though it has been some time)

If this doesn't cure your problems then dis-asemble the lens tube, remove the lenses and wash them in nice clean fairy liquid - drying thouroughly re-assemble and check your alignment again (it shouldn't have moved)

If this doesn't work then you might have a duff lamp, swap with each lantern and try replacing with new ones, (I might make a mistake here but..) IIRC (with 1K) there is a T19 alternative to the T11 which is bi-planar which might make a diference...

Failing that and you blame it on just being a sill.

Good luck

James
