wycome5
Where do you intend on using it? If it is in a public place it is likely to require testing etc which you will need to bear in mind when deciding if or how to build one.

Tomo
hi I am wanting to build a co2 cannon but I don't have any plans to build one. In short, don't.High pressure pneumatic equipment can be extremely dangerous, even when done correctly!Your friend may well be a certified professional tank constructor, but CO2 is very different to other compressed gases (eg nitrogen) and moving gas is very different to static gas. If you build your own and anything goes wrong, regardless of whether you built it properly you can still end up in serious trouble if you didn't get it fully tested - and possibly even if you did. Commercial CO2 systems are fairly cheap, and would probably cost you less once you include the testing your DIY system would require. Hambone
What about these or these ? What testing, if any, would they need to be used in the UK? Or does anyone know where to source a British equivalent?
James S
Hi, Showtec make/ dirstribute a vertical smoke machine that is intended to create the effect of a CO2 jet. It may be a suitably safe alternative for those on a budget. About £150 I think, operates on DMX and looks quite good from the pic (surprise surprise Just a thought, HTH

Storm_machine
Small hand held from Charlotte at Flutterfetti are not bad, they also have a non pyro remote release unit. Similar to the twist n fire type with a gas reservoir but electrically initiated. If you are building a flow machine, PM me, we got 2 made locally and they are easier to use than the US version and carry the cylinder onboard for stability. www.flutterfetti.co.uk Colin Midnight Storm - Link made active
