Tomo Posted September 16, 2006 Share Posted September 16, 2006 a positively charged carbon rod, and a negatively charged carbon rod which the operator (wearing a welding mask, large gauntlet gloves and all necessary protective gear!) shorted out with a third carbon rod. Neither do I - I was the ASM on the show and steered well clear of it. It could well have been adapted from that - the nice people at Firework Professionals in Christchurch were the ones that had built the thing, along with a large gas cannon like an oversized bird-scarer which we also used.
