andycat
Hi all, Does anyone know where I can buy 15A round pin extension leads, or the stuff to make them? I can get hold of plugs quite easily, but haven't found anywhere that sells the sockets! Is it special cable, or mains cable?
paulears
1.5 or 2.5mm trs cable and these plugs from cpc who you probably have an account with as you're at a school They do sockets too, and the cable if you're pushed. You can get away with pvc which is much cheaper, but doesn't like being up against hot equipment. They are available from all the normal suppliers, and in ready made too, but watch how they get a bit expensive.
Simon Lewis
Does anyone know where I can buy 15A round pin extension leads, or the stuff to make them? Any lighting supply house will sell these (made up or components) is.... AC Lighting, Stage Electrics, TMB, White Light.... are the first four that come to mind. There are many more, including VDC Trading. Is it special cable, or mains cable? TRS (tough rubber sheath) mains cable is generally used for fairly obvious reasons. If you ask for 3 core 1.5mm2 HO7 cable, it will do the job nicely. Simon

Paul Roberts
usedlighting.co.uk sell 15A sockets, and I'd recommend using them, if not now then sometime in the future.
