Old Lights

If you want to work as a 'lighting designer' for musical events and have some of your own kit I would suggest you buy the best control desk you can afford, learn how to use it in anger, and promote yourself as a board opp./ designer for shows. This way you have the best of both worlds, equipment to hire and a skill to offer.

Good luck. B-)

Unless you claimed you were a DJ - who someone has told me can now join the MU? But as an out and out light tech, from what I could gather, you aren't covered.

Ahhh, you may well be right on that one. However, I am also a Mobile DJ, so I didn't have that bridge to cross. :). Thanks for the info.
