Anyway:Grab a lantern - a Cantata is good for this, <snip>Actually I can see where the poster is maybe on a different page...SOME lanterns have yokes of course that can travel all round the body of the lantern unimpeded. Examples - Par cans, Prelude F, many other smaller fresnels, S4 pars (and multipars). That means that in practice, they could be mounted on a vertical bar with a suitable clamp and still be in the correct orientation for proper use.that said, as I've indicated, it's not necessarily something I'd recommend.
