Sound Engineer Headphones?

I own a pair of DT150s which I really like. I use them for sound teching and for monitoring when I'm drumming. (I'll also confess to using them to listen to music when its too late/early to use my hifi).

They do have 'clammy ear' problems, but it is bearable.

It is easy to get spares for them, and they're built solid. My only complaint was they came with a cheap plastic jack plug on the cable, which was annoying considering they're not budget kit.

A mate of mine carrys the HD 280's with him. I've been stepping over my own SONY MDR-V300's and DT-100s to use his for both live and studio monitoring.

So if he abandonned me, I would go out and buy the HD 280's.

The isolation from outside noise is great, and they are great, solid, hard wearing headphones.

His have even suffered various incidents with some heavy flight cases.

;)
