We have been known to use Ikegami monitors and the ASP-15 http://www.ikegami.com/br/products/sdtv/asp15.html James
stebee
hi Maybe I'm a litle slow off the mark today, but what's the point of this kit?
david.elsbury
"The ASP-15 automatically adjust a 15/18/20/30/80/90 series monitors to the factory setting standard color temperature. Also, user-defined data can be stored for probe to automatically adjust other monitors to the same color temperature. " For colour matching monitors, especially in broadcast, so that they are all going to look the same, and so they are going to look "good" on your average home TV. James
and so they are going to look "good" on your average home TV. Hang on - that might be going a little far! what with 100Hz sets, progressive scan lcd screens, crts that have never been calibrated since they left the factory and interpolated lines on digital displays the "going to look good on your average home TV" is a harder and harder prospect (don't get me started on 4:3 pictures stretched on 16:9 displays) You are totaly correct that it is used for colour matching monitors so that programmes can be edited and viewed with consistant equipment. What happens when it reaches the broadcaster, transmitters and your home is anyone's guess though! James
