A really nice but small mixer!

I find that on Soundcraft's newer mixers, the faders are very gritty!

 

I would take a look at a Allen and Heath or Maybe a small Mackie onyx 1220, Mackie have a reputation for being bomb proof!

 

 

My choice would be the yamaha MG over that A&H or soundcraft, only if you can't find a safe a secure place otherwise forget the yahama and get the A&H or soundcraft. Other factors to choose the Yamaha, price vs performance ain't bad, and can be condsidered cheap enough to replaced! but dare I say why not get a behringer like the one you have, again you get what you pay for but if its always available to school kids mischivious hands and does happen to get broken, then its dirt cheap to relace!
