yeah you do get that impression from the photos, the movers did glare everything out in the pics. When actully watching the show there was plenty of even was all around the stage, I was using over 50 generics aswell, but they didnt take aswell on the cam.

I actully got a lot of work from that gig, as the theatre thought the design was amazing better then anything they have ever seen, so ive been asked to design all the inhouse productions, and also for touring acts, that dont carry an LD.

Not bad to say I got that gig the day before as the hire company let them down. I also busked the whole show, as I couldnt get into the theatre untill 2 hours before curtain, so most programming was done within an hour :P

Wow! Amaizing pics of the intelligents.

I think you probably took the audience's breath away by the lighting design rather than them being taken away by the dancers. But I mean that's what it's all about right!?

Congrats to you as well for getting more work, you certainly impressed them.

<Shameless plug>

With my site at

Stagelink, you can now upload pictures into your own space.

I think I offer better features then most of the commercial photo galleries;

i.e. 100mb web space, slide show, comments, ratings, private galleries etc etc.

This is all offered for free (but paid for by sponsored links in the other part of the site).

I've uploaded a few of mine, with lots more to come, because I believe collecting these production photos into one area, really offers a great inspiration for others planning to work / already working in the industry.

When I have enough from the member galleries, I'll start copying them into categories of photo e.g. tour, corporate, theatre, dangerous kit, wild animals, etc etc

Cheers,

Piers

  The gig you did in the artic circle, how did ya get on with the new ROBE colourspot 1200's, I believe you used them to light the ice?

We took 6 of the Colourwash 1200's, which are very impressive.. I would say much better than a mac 2000 wash very bright, massive zoom and great colours.

They were sat on a frozen lake at -33 for 3 days, which ment they had to be kept on and moving for the whole time or the belts would freeze and snap!. all 6 worked without a problem, internal diagnostics on day 2 showed ambient temp in head to be -19 , board temp to be -12 and near lamp temp to be 20 deg. Scary stuff. by day 3 the LCD display had frozen so we couldn't check.

Cant say the same about the mac 2000's that we had, gobo wheels and shutters were freezing all over the place.

here are 3 novilty value photos of the gig.

Good to see that the 1200At's performed for you, im actully supported by ROBE uk, so I take out a rig of 12 ROBE fixtures, after using other manufacturers fixtures like martin ect, the ROBE stuff always comes out on top hands down, I have used the colourspot 1200 and indeed its a very very nice fixture, and for around £6000 its amazing.

Are you gonna submit the pictures to avo, as they are classics....................** laughs out loud **!

(ps ive just been added to the avo LDs gallery :) )

again great picks nick.
