I finally have a show to show that I got pictures of!

Graveney School 6th form production of West Side Story:

The desk - a Fat Frog, which I refuse to work with ever again... not my favourite desk. <_<

Jets' Song

Maria and Tony

"I Feel Pretty"

Rig was 2 Mac250+'s, 6 fresnels and 4 pars with scrollers - nothing much.

The colour hasn't come out wonderfully on these photos - I was just getting some quick snaps in between cues; if I can get some better ones then I'll post them instead.

Enjoy :)

Hi all,

Here's a few pics from a Charity concert back in February. It was the best show the school has ever seen come through its doors (apparently):

Stuff

A few of the movers

A bit of FOH

A bit more of FOH

Stack and FOH rack

Stack and Mons Rack

Preset

Intro with Wizards

Very bodged pinspot fan

Gig 1

Damn annoying Frog

A&H interval

Very good young band

The Kids that stole the show

I like this pic

Finale

Blue Crowd

White Crowd

End of Show

We got in 10am Wednesday morning, rigged same day. Show Thursday, get out Thursday night/friday morning.

Due to a serious occurance on Thursday morning the lighting had to be done on the fly. The lighting design was bodged whenI got in to the venue on the Wednesday morning.

The show itself was superb. It was a charity concert to raise money for a school in Ghana. All the acts had to perform songs that were in or artists who contributed to Live Aid/Live 8. So good music all the way through.

A very enjoyable gig! And certainly not a bad rig for free! :)

A few photos from the Engineering and Science Ball held last Saturday in the Passenger Shed, Empire and Commonwealth Museum. I was the joint technical manager, along with Penny Jackson. Sam Orme assisted significantly with the lighting design.

Stage provided by LMS, and rigged by a student crew.

Sound provided by CSS.

Lighting provided by CSS, and rigged by a student crew with the assistance of a rigger from CSS.

A special mention for the trucking firm, BPL, who were simply superb.

Many thanks to all those involved.

David

Just found some photos from a musical production of A Christmas Carol at the college where I work.

Lighting, sound, songs written, band done by around 7 of us in one of those daft "let's write a musical in a fortnight" type things. Script by Charles Dickens!

Had around 20 PAR64s, 12 Strand Preludes, 4 Cantatas and about 12 Strand Pattern 60s!! controlled from a Strand GSX desk.

EDIT: Sorry about the big pics, the post said that Photobucket would resize them! Try these links…

The 'rules' for posting photos to this topic have become a bit 'buried' way back on page one, so here's a reminder :

All photos must be hosted on an external server. If you don't have your own webspace, photobucket.com provide free space. We impose this rule as it reduces our server load.

No photo should be more than 30kb to download. Not everyone is on broadband.

Photos should be sized at or around 640x480 resolution. Again, some users are still browsing at 640x480 and that'll break their frames, so thats a maximum.

Photobucket allow you to resize your image on their servers - once you've uploaded it, select "edit" and then choose a size to resize to. Hopefully if everyone abides by these rules then we won't be causing too much of a 'lag'.

Maximum of 3 photos per person at a time. This makes it interesting - choose your favorite three, or most interesting/bizzar three.

We'd just like to remind contributors to make sure that the number (maximum of three) and size (no more than 640x480 and 30kB) of the images they post comply with the above.

This is an example of the best way to post to this topic - a small thumbnail image and a link to more photos on an external site.

Thanks.

Before anyone thinks I made the scenery painters spend hours doing the brickwork, it's done with wallpaper found on ebay!

Ben,

In your first and second oliver pictures you have what appears to be light coming through the barred window.

Is this light coming through the set being picked up with haze or is it a very well lined up gobo?

Just curious

James
