Here are a few pictures from a show I did last week in Arnhem Land, Australia.

The site is 150km south east from Katherine, NT, Australia which is the nearest town.

The concert was a corroboree for a local Aboriginal community.

Not a bad backdrop, took millenia to build!

Wow! Thanks for sharing, Roderick!

It'll be a long time until we see another set as fantastic as that one!

Being the curious type, I don't suppose we could persuade you to do a "blog" style post about all the technical difficulties of doing a show so far from a town...and how you solved them? I suspect it would make great reading!

Tour was only a local one. Around the south west.

Its only a college production..

Was this the same tour as the one haymarket theatre co stuck out and toured round the south with a few dates up north like billingham and nottingham?

Still annoyed that, that particular tour went to the sister theatre the wyvern & not wycombe swan!

Great pics though!

Also, must give a big thumbs up to Roderick's post! I mean, what a great place to work.. interesting acoustics I bet!

I can't show you anything from the tour sadly, as the set/lighting etc were not designed by me, and I cannot contact the designers for permission.

I can however show this interesting picture from the Tolpuddle Martyrs' Festival, 2006. What is vertical, the posts for the tent or the wind-up stands and truss? Answer, thankfully, is the truss, although the picture was deliberately taken to try to throw the viewer. The whole site is on a slope that means upstage is actually lower than downstage!

Slightly further back in the collection is from Star for a Night, which I had four Miniscans and a Pearl to play with.

http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/7519/summervz2.th.jpg This one was for the song "Summer Nights" The blue comes from the LED pars, the heart is from the Miniscans, as is the moon, but this is not a gobo, it was the shutter at about 12% open.

A few pictures from Party In The Park 2006 - Norfolk. I was one of the main organisers and head of the entertainment side of the show. Held on Monday 28th August, we had to cope with thunderstorms, rain, hail, and flash floods. The morning was lovely weather and we got set up really nicely until around 3pm when the storms hit. Between Around 2,000 to 4,000 turned up throughout the day and evening.. roughly.

It was a charity event on a very minimal budget but didn't look too bad in the end. We had a decent 4K PA System, 2 Robe 250 Wash's and 2 250 Spots. Lighting equipment supplied by Viking Stage Lighting, and PA by Steve's PA Hire.

Well, last night I came back from PLASA to my Mum's 50th Birthday Celebration for which we had 100 guests and a Jazz Band.

I thought it'd be a nice idea to light up te garden with some par cans and so the day (and night) before, I set them up and did my first "Light Design" and to which I was happy with the result. I'm a noise boy, so I'm probably easily pleased.

I used all I had available, so 11 pars (12th blew and I had no replacements at the time), a few supergels. a manual DMX desk and some beta packs and socapex.

The photo was taken the day before the party.

Apologise I do, for the photo's quality, tis a little blurred:-
