ceecrb1 Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 This weekends sun-burning OB in the port of Alicante for canal 9 (equivalent of granada/STV/tyne tees etc for Valencia region).. Nightime lighting of a statue (for its ceremonial burning to mark the end of the festival symbolising the burning of the memories in your head of the bad things that happened in the past year and aiding you to look forward with clarity and happiness, sorry no photos of that, had a differential pop 5mins before going on air so the tone became a little more serious with various techs/capable people on standby near devices if it failed again) Unfortunatley there was a catastrophe when 2 hours before air time, a large boat passed the floating statue going to fast and as the bow-wave rocked the pontoon the statue broke. This is an extremely bad omen!! Mr.Si Posted July 17, 2007 Share Posted July 17, 2007 One of the many 'Spree' events run by a Christian Organisation called Urban Saints (formerly known as Crusaders).I provided Sound and Lighting and an 8x6 fastfold (to the left) in one of the 3 main venues as the band I work with were the house band there and they had to provide PA system.
