LXbydesign
hey , cheers mate!! Actually it was the London Hilton Metropole but , yeah, they all look the same!! And the cloth ( which was basically an army camouflage net) was lit simply with a bit of breakup gobo, 4 moving washlights and some birdies from the front, and from behind just 4 PAR 64's and a hazer with extra fan power to "push" it through the netting! paulears
Moderation: QUALITY CONTROL - please can we simply use this topic to show images from peoples shows/work. This morning I've removed 5 chat type posts, many to and fro comment between posters. This kind of thing can go via PM and not by short one-liners, that do annoy many people reading the topic. Davebeattie's is a link to more of the same so is an example of a good update type link, but I have removed one more 'chat' type enquiry. Please try to keep this topic to show your show, not chat about the kit!

peternewman
Moderation: The 'rules' for posting photos to this topic have become a bit 'buried' way back on page one, so here's another reminder:All photos must be hosted on an external server. If you don't have your own webspace, photobucket.com provide free space. We impose this rule as it reduces our server load. No photo should be more than 30kb to download. Not everyone is on broadband. Photos should be sized at or around 640x480 resolution. Again, some users are still browsing at 640x480 and that'll break their frames, so that's a maximum. Photobucket allow you to resize your image on their servers - once you've uploaded it, select "edit" and then choose a size to resize to. Hopefully if everyone abides by these rules then we won't be causing too much of a 'lag'. Maximum of 3 photos per person at a time. This makes it interesting - choose your favorite three, or most interesting/bizarre three. We'd just like to remind contributors to make sure that the number (maximum of three) and size (no more than 640x480 and 30kB) of the images they post comply with the above. This is an example of the best way to post to this topic - a small thumbnail image and a link to more photos on an external site. Thanks.

Psychedelic Theatre
This is my first full lighting design. I've been co-designer several times, and designed quite a lot of talent show type things, but this is the first proper show I've designed. Feel free to comment! These were all taken during the dress rehearsal/scene run-throughs (so on some, not everyone is in costume). Unfortunately these were during the day, so there may be some spill from light coming through the curtains. It's a school production of Fiddler on the Roof http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/Psychedelictheatre/100_9035.jpgSabbath Prayer http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/Psychedelictheatre/100_9011.jpgThe Dream http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/Psychedelictheatre/100_9054.jpgThe Wedding
PDD
I know most people probably won't click on links here, but to save bandwidth (I will make some thumbnails soon), photos from my most recent show (a school version of 'Grease') are here, along with a few other shows; most are my lighting designs. Have a look if you're interested.
