James
I know most people probably won't click on links here, but to save bandwidth (I will make some thumbnails soon), photos from my most recent show (a school version of 'Grease') are here, along with a few other shows; most are my lighting designs. Have a look if you're interested. Hmm - Not a lighting point - but could those microphones be any bigger? - and how many were in use?
Bobbsy
At the risk of having to moderate my own post.... I also noticed the "substantial" headset mics....and my first thought was "Sharpay" in "High School Musical". (No, I don't watch it deliberately...I have kids. Honest.) casey_cole
Return to the Forbidden Planet - Pate's Grammar School (opens tomorrow!) Just killed myself working this weekend and the set is finally finished! http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k146/casey_cole/RTTFP/CleanSet.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k146/casey_cole/RTTFP/SmokedSet.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k146/casey_cole/RTTFP/LiveVideoProjection.jpg Our first time for hiring anything; a Frog, 4 MAC 250+s, also the hazer, two low foggers and a smoker for the airlock - it's gonna be fun! PDD
hereHmm - Not a lighting point - but could those microphones be any bigger? - and how many were in use?Very briefly, so as not to be OT, yes they were horribly big mics - but they did the job must better than our own clip-on mics, and were all we could afford to hire (fairly last minute change of plan). To be fair, after the first song most people said they stopped noticing them. Oh, and we had 12 sets in total.

patesgeoffrey
Some in show shots from RTTFP [the same as casey_cole above, so I'll leave them really small] http://pgstech.bathgatehall.co.uk/forum/pictures2/bolGallery/thumbnail_P1010535.JPG http://pgstech.bathgatehall.co.uk/forum/pictures2/bolGallery/thumbnail_P1010536.JPG http://pgstech.bathgatehall.co.uk/forum/pictures2/bolGallery/thumbnail_P1010560.JPGSorry for the slight bluriness of some - didn't have a massive amount of time between cues in some of those scenes. Loz
These are some images, minus any talent on stage, from Honk! (by Stiles & Drewe) at the Wilde Theatre at the South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell. This is by my favourite piece of design so far, especially as I had jsut turned 15 earlier that month. What are you thoughts? All comments entirely welcome. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd109/lozzer5959/HSL_MG_2911.jpg'The Elegy' http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd109/lozzer5959/HSL_MG_2928.jpgThe Cat's Lair - 'You Can Play With Your Food' http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd109/lozzer5959/HSL_MG_2954.jpgBacklighting from the end of the Finale Unfortunately due to the licensing of the show, there were no photos taken that included talent on the stage during production week.Hope you like my work.Lawrie

birt
I have some pictures online of a dance show. since they had NO budget and the place hardly had any lighting and power I had to work with 5.5KW for the entire show. (the whole building had 6KW max) http://s119.photobucket.com/albums/o153/si...s%20in%20Tokyo/ and some pics of the concert at the military airport in Kabul:http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o153/siceffects/Roxane%20Kaboel/DSC01557.jpghttp://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o153/siceffects/Roxane%20Kaboel/DSC01543.jpgsetting up the stage:http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o153/siceffects/Roxane%20Kaboel/DSC01528.jpgthe stage were 2 flat cargotrailers with metal plates on top. behind it there's a wall of big containers to break the continuous wind and dust (they were als constantly spraying water over the whole area before the stage and on the stage before setting up the equipment). the drum stage could handle a truck if nessecary and frontstage security were 6 paratroopers.more pics here: http://s119.photobucket.com/albums/o153/si...oxane%20Kaboel/
