Just Some Bloke
Matters arising: 1) It looks like there were only about 20 people in the audience.2) It sounds like the singer isn't actually very good. Would I be wrong in thinking these?

gareth
It sounds like the singer isn't actually very good. Not very good? That's an understatement! I could do better, and I got chucked out of the school choir when I was 10 for not being able to sing ... :P

mackerr
I've been working on a new Broadway musical called Passing Strange. It's a semi autobiographical high energy show following the artistic and personal growth of the writer and composer Stew. The stage has 4 small elevators where the 2 keyboard/guitar players, the drummer, and bass player, sink down below the stage for dramatic scenes. http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj284/mackerrbucket/CreationZone.jpgHere is a look at the "creation zone" where sound and lighting have their tech tables and consoles during tech. The cutout in the wall behind the PM1D is there to allow us to move the console back 5" so the row of seats could go back in. http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj284/mackerrbucket/TommysWorld.jpgIn the basement we have all the RF and the DSP and audio distribution, comm, video, and sound power. More info and photos here. Mac

scottmcleod
I have some pictures online of a dance show. since they had NO budget and the place hardly had any lighting and power I had to work with 5.5KW for the entire show. (the whole building had 6KW max) http://s119.photobucket.com/albums/o153/si...s%20in%20Tokyo/ Own up. Who laid that floor? :( You won't catch any of my dance floors looking like that. My guess: Someone forgot to let it settle / cook it with lights before stretching and taping it...
