Here's a few pics from the latest show at the small amateur theatre I volunteer at. Show was See How They Run by Phillip King. I was mainly involved in stage building and light altering.

Russ you beat me to it.

I fear I spent too many of my wysiwyg hours at uni arranging audience and banquet tables. I even vertically arrayed plates so they were stacked

I dont need an audience because this is only the rehersal and all the producers and stuffs is still backstage arranging everything. Lets see when we comes a little longer in the production and maybe it fills up with some audience ;)

Be patient....

I´m planning a show but I´m not satisfied :) have to think a little bit more :wall:

Please comment on this :wall:

If it's a singer doing a ballad it could be quite good, if it's an actor doing a one-man play about prisoners dying in a concentration camp then it's probably quite awful.

Is there a context or are we just commenting on the picture itself? If it's the latter then I'm not really sure where to start, I'm afraid.

oh and I am having a bit of a issue uploading photos, if anyone wants to point me in the direction of how to do it that would be great.

First pic from our current panto - Aladdin (started last night, runs for 2 weeks).

Abanazar in his crypt - lots of vac-form, (including Egyptian sarcophagus behind him), couple of small silk-flame sconces. The green above his head is the base of a circular projection screen - video proj of the genie of the ring's lips, with 3 LED par 56 and a couple of birdies tucked away behind it to downlight this portion of the set.

I've always said that often the best solutions are the simplest... :)

How about a blueroom masterclass from guys like Nick512 etc, hire a hall and a van load of kit, and learn some tricks of the trade from guys who have worked with the big acts. I am sure there would be a reasonable uptake to more than cover the costs, and maybe a beer or 3 afterwards! What do you think Mods?

Out of interest, what are you using to light your cyc? the saturation in that first pic is gorgeous.

They are our brand new Studio Due Archibar LED battens (RGBW) - 3w LEDs and really rather nice. Although the rep said we shouldn't put any diffusion gel over them, we found, in practice, that in order to get a nice even cyc, diffusion was necessary.

I must admit to just a touch of Photoshop on the photo but, nevertheless, they did do a fantastic job and the colours you see are the colours they created.
