Not a show we've ever done before - a championship contest. Lighting by BR member AndrewR, to a very odd and interesting brief. Lots of white light, but needs colour? Needs light from all angles, but mustn't get in their eyes - and then then after 4 hours of focus, in come the video crew who want changes.

3 Pictures, the first showing the set, the other two for different reasons. As far as the event went - very odd requests. All furniture out of dressing rooms and floor and walls covered in plastic sheeting. Follow spots nearly fell off the iron ladder to the flys as people had been doing pull-ups on the rungs. Oil all over everywhere, and everything sticky.

In picture 2 - in this class, the girl in the centre won.

They needed colour so that they could look even more tangoed than they actually are!

Each to their own, but being that 'built' doesn't do anything for me what so ever :off:

Later in the week I will load "Rockshow 2010" which was eventful

Some Dance 2010 (see the theme with shows people cannot be bothered to spend HUGE amounts of time on).

I think I have some of our other show "The Legend Of The Willow Pattern" - a 25 min sound track extravaganza that someone wanted to run on 3 md's I told them not to as it was a silly idea.

Here are some photos from a show I recently did at "The Little Theatre" in Dunstable. The show was called "Simply Sondheim".

Overall, I'd say out of all the shows I've ever done this is one of my favourite in terms of lighting. A simple rig using no movers - just 5 scrollers and 2 gobo rotators.

More pictures available on http://s167.photobucket.com/albums/u121/to...ply%20Sondheim/

Cheers!

Tom

Just a couple of my favourites from some shows I've lit in the last 18 months. Just as a side note, all of these are generics only (can't be fussing around with movers when I don't have the time TBH) and are all Am-Dram (no school shows here)
