o - +20v system

I have in my possession a Zero88 Rackmaster dimmer pack (but is unbranded) that shows "20v" on pin 7 of a 7 pin XLR analogue input. I've metered it out, and it's actually giving 24.3v out. This picture shows a similar dimmer, but without the input socket which on mine is located top-left of th e front panel. My dimmer is also mounted in it's own case with 6x 15A sockets on the bottom.

This link to the Zero88 support forum explains that the +20v pin is for powering control desks, similar to the phantom power noise boys use: http://support.zero88.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4038

Hope that helps!
