Colin Posted April 16, 2009 Share Posted April 16, 2009 With this in mind I find the acquisition of Selecon somewhat curious - big things were said about Strand harnessing Vari*Lite's R&D power to design a new range of lanterns, but it appears that Philips took the easier route of acquiring Selecon instead (whose products are great, don't get me wrong). I was always under the impression that this was based towards the moving light end, I cant see how using Vari*Lite to design a new fresnel would be very efficent.
