MrSpeedy
You could put black bin bags over them? Saw them used outdoors on a pa rig when it was raining and it seemed to work! Kept the volume and quality, could be a cheap answer... Toby
Kasat
I would back up Robin Pratt and go down the Weatherised EV route. However, personally would go for ZX3's for what you seem to be doing. I think that they're a better box than the zx5 in terms of value for money - (the zx5 would have better bottom end obviously, but I think the ZX3 compensates with its overall sound) and they're that wee bit more compact. Same 12" driver as in some of EV's line array products too, which is never a bad thing. Also, they would be slightly cheaper, allowing you to have a few extra pounds to put towards a decent amp, and EV speakers just love a whole pile of watts behind them! We've driven ZX'3s with both CP3000s digital amps and the P3000 analogue ones. The digital amps are expensive but very handy (> 10 kg). Not just as warm as the big P series, but still lovely. That's just my 2 cents worth. Oh, and first post! ;)
