Samwise
Hi there, As stated I had a bit of a free afternoon and all the bits I needed so I thought I'd take a few pictures of this subwoofer for anyone who might be interested. http://sclighting.co.uk/subpics/Cabinet%20Front.JPG-for-web-LARGE.jpgHere's the cab assembled completely. http://sclighting.co.uk/subpics/Cabinet%20Rear.jpg-for-web-LARGE.jpgThe rear...http://sclighting.co.uk/subpics/Grill%20Off.jpg-for-web-LARGE.jpg6x hex bolts and the grill comes away, unfortunately the bolts took a little of the foam with them as they came out :) http://sclighting.co.uk/subpics/Full%20Grill%20Off.jpg-for-web-LARGE.jpgHere's the view sans grill, the piece of foam you can see came freely away from the driver surround. Probably due to the age of the unit. http://sclighting.co.uk/subpics/Up%20Angle%20Assbld.JPG-for-web-LARGE.jpgAnother angle on that. I've started to loosen the bolts holding in the driver. http://sclighting.co.uk/subpics/Driver%20and%20Cab.jpg-for-web-LARGE.jpgThe driver removed, they're all the bolts from the unit next to the driver. http://sclighting.co.uk/subpics/Cabinet%20interior.jpg-for-web-LARGE.jpgThe interior of the unit. It was interesting for me to note that there was no foam or wadding on the inside of the unit.http://sclighting.co.uk/subpics/xovr.JPG-for-web-LARGE.jpgA shot of the back panel interior and the xover. I didn't have a short enough screw driver handy to remove the casing around the xover, nor did I want to really... http://sclighting.co.uk/subpics/Driver%20Removed.jpg-for-web-LARGE.jpgThe driver out of place, I've rested the fallen bit of foam for the photo. http://sclighting.co.uk/subpics/Driver%20Rear.jpg-for-web-LARGE.jpgThe rear of the driver, I hadn't expected it to be an RCF, but I'm thrilled that it is. Next time, I'm having a brief look around the inside of a P1200L by d&b audiotechnik. Thanks, Sam.

Stan Hope-Streeter
sThe interior of the unit. It was interesting for me to note that there was no foam or wadding on the inside of the unit. Yes, theoretically there should be no need for it in a sub.
TonyMitchell
Interesting, do you know from what era that box dates, and it's spec? I haven't ever come across a 902 and couldn't find anything in the d&b archive mentioning it. I guess it may be early 90s, before the 602 became a C6, as the numbering convention is similar. The 902 was later renumbered as the E9, it's like a 90 degree version of a 602.

If the 902 was later renumbered as the E9 does this mean the E9 would run on my P1200L with the 902 cards? I currently have 2 x P1200L's with 902 cards and only two of the 902BX subs (which seems a tad pointless at the moment) Regards, Sam

Samwise
yes, it will still waiting with interest for internal shots of the p1200l ! Jolly good! I shall get hold of some forthwith (I might have to sell a few things first...) Here're the pics from inside a P1200L http://p1200l.sclighting.co.uk/ I can't upload pictures like I did last time due to various boring computer type reasons, apologies for that. All the best, Sam.
