Kazeja Posted January 13, 2012 Share Posted January 13, 2012 What size desk is it? 12,24,48. All the power supplies I've been using on MX consoles are 18v. The fact that the software is running indicates that the 5v rail is OK.From memory, the DMX and fader tops are driven from the 5v rail. As the problem is also present on DMX then this points towards a possible problem with the wiper(s) on faders on the control card. I would go back to basics, configure the unit as a 12 way desk and take it from there. Check the fader travel from 00 to 3F(?) using diagnostics.Not sure what the results would be if 2 fader tiles were configured for the same channels though. Ian der Laan Posted January 13, 2012 Author Share Posted January 13, 2012 Ok, I've fixed it. it was a combination of a faulty grandmaster fader and the rs232 out of the dmux having a loose connection. I still don't know why the DMX channels were mixed up but that's for another day. Thanks for all the help with this issue, I really appreciate it. I've learnt alot too. Cheers.
