Chris Beesley Posted June 18, 2013 Share Posted June 18, 2013 Literally peeled it off, there was some glue residue left behind but I just gave it a blitz with the sander, cleaned off and then put to work with generous amounts of good quality spray glue. I think painting them will be a world of work to get all the glue off to get bare wood. I echo what others have said about recarpetting. It shouldn't be too difficult to get the old stuff off. Then buy some new carpet, either from Adlib, or from Adam Hall or something like that and re-carpet. Will look like new. I used spray glue from the local DIY shop. Works well.
