Electrolytic
DT770m not very bright, but the more closed type a headphone the duller they are. Lots of noise isolation. Perfect for FOH and Mons.
TimmyP1955
7506 sound dreadful and have terrible isolation. Shure 840 are a lot better, Senny 280 a bit better yet, and Shure 440 a bit better again. However none of the above allow the user to hear all of the components of the mix. For that, the Extreme Headphones EX29 is good. I heard an AT that sounded good, but have not used it live. I think it had a 50 in the model number.
astrojgmoore
I use a mixture of DT150s and DT250s, I prefer the DT150s sound wise, as the frequency response is better, but the DT250s are fantastic if you want to keep them around your neck for the gig! Both are fantastic pair of headphones for live use IMO
LadislavKiprich
If you get DT150, spend bit more money and replace the ear pads for velur style from DT100's. The leather ear pads which come with 150's will tear apart in a year or two and mine also got sticky for no obvious reason.
