Original Beef
I wondered if there was any technical reason I could not bridge my Chevin Q6 4 channel power amplifier? There are no switches on the amp itself so I would have to inverse the phase on two of the 4 inputs etc. My idea was to use it for a pair of 8 Ohm 15" subs. If memory serves me correct it has a damping factor of 400 so I guess this at least would be ok for sub duty. It will be used for moderate levels in small < 300 seat theatres for a band that consists of bass, electric drums, and electric piano, but as they will be backing a choir with some soloists on headsets they certainly won't be at rock n roll levels. Jivemaster
http://www.juicesound.co.uk/chevinamplifiers.pdf says it can be done. Other Chevin amps may not be bridged
Original Beef
Thanks Jive. To be honest I don't know why I didn't just google the manual myself, never entered my head to be honest, wasn't being lazy.
