Whiskers
Beware of "tellys " for your FOH Domestic TVs you have to go into the scart socket with composite, that socket will have no loop through, and be ready terminated so some bodgy splitter will not work. So you will need a composite splitter as per THE KID Also Scart is a double isolated specification and set makers have exploited this with various floating chassis, some scart adapters strap frame and signal - just beware as you are connecting your phono or BNC cables there might be a tingle lurking. has your TV got two or three mains cores? Pro and most CCTV monitors have a second socket loop through daisy chain signal and terminate the last one only, and no worries re floating earths count the three cores of the mains lead. You mention CoAx when talking about cable, do not use TV antenna coax for Composite - it will not work, you are looking for 75 ohm Things like RG-59 RG-6, RG-7, PSF1/3, 5c-2v, Pro Kit uses BNC connectors, domestic uses RCA (aka phono) you may well need adaptors Latency aka delay when any digital process happens, your camcorder is probably FIT sensor so will introduce 1/50 sec delay, Old CRT telly / monitors no delay the spot on the screen is real time, Probably OK . new super TVs with scaling and standards conversion and and and expect 1/25th sec delay total 3/50ths MD should cope cast would be iffy $- good MD understands delays from large halls and churches. If you were to add a digital mixer / effect generator scaler to the chain then delay 2/25th or worse, will be noticeable.

Dunno where you are in the world but here in NZ we do use 75ohm cable for tv antennae. So apart from a possible connector difference, the cable is fine... Whiskers
Its the conectors are the problem, UK uses Belling Lee there is a mismatch, its never been right http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TV_aerial_plug is a ladybird guide.
david.elsbury
Yes, but the cable ia still 75ohm and will still work fine, even if you need adaptors or to snip off the plugs and fit new ones... therefore, TV antenna coax will be fine :)
Rob_P
It depends how much you want to mess about with crimping BNC connectors (they always seem quite expensive) but in the past I have found ready made leads pretty good value. Eg CPC do a 30m RG59 cable with moulded BNCs for about £10:http://cpc.farnell.com/pro-signal/psg00523/bnc-to-bnc-lead-30m/dp/AV1412103?Ntt=AV1412103
