sam.spoons
What is the maximum latency that is workable for a singer using IEMs? I'm asking because with the proliferation of digital mixers and 2.4GH digital wireless mics there must be a certain amount of latency even with analogue IEMs (e.g. a Line6 wireless mic has a system latency of 2.7 ms and a Berry X32 around 0.8 ms, a total of 3.5ms before any insert fx). edit:- I know the spelling is wrong but I can't see how to edit it or delete the topic and start again http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif
Jevans
There's an interesting paper on this exact topic from the AES to be found here: http://lsbaudio.com/publications/AES_Latency.pdf
