Mark-the-gib
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a zero88 chilli 12 chan dimmer. Most of the channels will not dim properly anymore, as they jump from 0% to about 50% intensity. My guess is that the Triacs are dead on them. Unless it could be something else? Does anyone know if/how these could be replaced and if so where I could buy these parts from? Would really like to avoid replacing the whole dimmer! Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Mark
kgallen
It doesn't sound like triacs to me, more like a zero-crossing circuit. Probably best to give Keith Rogers a ring at Zero88, he'll get you sorted pretty quickly:+44 (0)1633 833101keithrogers@eaton.com
ianknight
Triac's usually snap to full if they've gone short circuit so you may be looking at another fault - very likely you might end up swapping the processor board but it's still not a difficult job and can be done by someone confident with a crosshead driver & needle nose pliers in about 20 minutes.
