Reports to: Sales and Installations Manager

Based: Reading Branch

 

About the Role

You will be working in a busy and innovative team. You will have the opportunity to expand your working knowledge of industry standard equipment and enjoy working closely with the sales team and our clients alike.

 

As the first point of contact for new clients approaching SFL Group for high quality quotes, you will be able to focus your time and energy on offering them solutions that fit their budget and that will ultimately mean our Installations Team can improve their venues by completing the installation.

 

We have a broad spectrum of clients from end-users to trade buyers; and strive to maintain strong relationships with all of them. You will also be the main point of contact when they return to us for new or updated quotes.

 

A normal week with include:

• Supporting customers, both directly and in conjunction with the wider Sales team

• Raising quotations

• Ordering equipment

• Liaising with manufacturers

• Administrating repairs

• Invoicing

 

As you settle into the role, you will be able to design Audio, Video and/or Lighting Systems for specific projects and start to see them through to their conclusion.

 

Person Specification:

• Experience of working in the events industry

• Enjoy working in a team but able to work independently

• Adaptability and able to transfer knowledge

• Good communication & organisation skills

• Self-managing and motivating

• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

• High level of attention to detail

• Ability to problem solve

• Honest and trustworthy

• Understanding of current industry product lines

(e.g. d&b, L'Acoustics, Midas, Yamaha, Barco)

• Knowledge of QuoteWerks and HireHop useful

• Experience of design software such as CAD, L'Acoustics SoundVision, d&b ArrayCalc and EASE beneficial

• Full clean driving licence preferred

• Willingness to work outside of Mon-Fri 9-5.30 when on-site / as required

 

Hours: 9.00-5.30, Monday to Friday.

Location: SFL. Unit 5, Headley Park 10, Woodley, Reading, RG5 4SW

Salary range: £18-28k, plus 9% non-contributory pension
