Enlightened is one of the largest event suppliers in the South West, offering full production services, supported dry hire, design, and delivery of permanent installations, competitive and intelligent sales, skilled repairs, and maintenance to a diverse range of clients and venues. Our full-time staff has extensive expertise in Lighting, Audio, Trussing, Staging, and AV Equipment.

 

Position Summary

Our warehouse is at the heart of Enlightened, servicing all strands of the business from Hire, Sales, Production, Installation and Repairs. Key to our success is the continued pride in everything we do and the quality of the equipment we supply. This role within the warehouse, working within a team, handling all equipment that goes out and back, with the prep, runup and maintenance required, is critical to the smooth running of Enlightened, where attention to detail is essential.

 

 

Salary

£19k to £22k. Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities


  •  
  • Prepare equipment for hire / use / sale.
  • Return & Test equipment post hire / use.
  • Follow warehouse procedure and processes
  • Check incoming deliveries against delivery notes and transfer to storage as required.
  • Assist with stock control and asset tracking
  • To load/unload vehicles as required.
  • Ensure the workplace is a safe environment to work in and address health and safety issues where possible.
  • Assist in the maintenance of equipment to as high a standard as practically possible.
  • Take bookings and enquires (including sales) over the counter from customers
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to customers where required
  • Liaise with the production department on larger production jobs.

Essential;


  •  
  • to have previous hands-on technical experience of industry-specific equipment
  • to be enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • to have impeccable attention to detail and high standards of work.
  • to have great problem-solving skills and be able to adapt.
  • to be able to create effective working relationships, to be able to work effectively individually and well as part of a team.

 

Desirable;


  •  
  • Experience of In-Service Electrical Inspection (Formerly PAT)
  • Forklift license
  • to be multi-disciplinary, ie lighting, sound, video, etc.

 

Employment will be conditional upon a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) (occasional working in schools) check along with satisfactory references.

 

Hours & Location Of Work

Your time will be mostly spent at Enlightened Head Office in Bristol. You may occasionally be required to work on customer sites. Core hours are Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.30.

 

You will be required to work overtime and join a weekend working rota at busy times of the year as required.

 

As an essential member of the Enlightened team, you should be willing to undertake all reasonable duties requested or under your own initiative as required by circumstance.
