Moving Head floor stand

Hi All,

Im looking for advice on a suitable stand for a moving light. Its for mostly corporate style events so no intense movement, but something presentable and safe. My current idea is using a tank trap, scaff pole and d rig arm to hang it from, then load up the base with weight. This would be safe, but not very pretty.

Truss totems on a big heavy baseplate - either with a plate on top with appropriate fixings for the moving head, or with a t piece on top - are fairly standard for this sort of thing. Add an uplighter in the truss for bonus colour fun.

H frames also work very well - ours are 1M tall, 0.75M wide and fix to a single 800mm steel base. You just add further frames above to get to the desired height, and gives plenty of rigging options.
