Installing a Blazar Diamond onto a FLX48

I have just found an old Lanta Lighting Blazar Diamond and I'm having some trouble setting it up on my Zero88 FLX48.

It isn't listed on Zero88's fixture library and I'm not 100% sure of how to install a new non-light fixture onto the desk.

It was attached previously to DMX, but I have never seen it working.

You’ll need to work out what each DMX channel does if you don’t have a manual. Usual approach is patch a load of genetic dimmer channels then play with each fader to see what it does.

Then follow the options listed here to create a fixture personality:

Zero88 list it on their fixture library page for Lanta so maybe you can download and install the .ift file. I'm not a Z88 user but that would be my guess.

If it’s on their list then it should be there on the console. Maybe the OP needs to update the software on the desk which will bring the latest library with it. Could just update the library but as you’ve found it in the Z88 library list it suggests the console is on old software. The latest ZerOS is 7.14.3 and what is currently installed can be found listed by pressing the ‘Z’ key on the console.

I'm currently running 7.14.3 and updated the consoles library 3 months ago, but it's not on there 😕 I can't see it on there list anywhere either.

I can't see it on Zero88's library, where did you find it?

The Library 4.5 will come as part of the 7.14.3 install so if you’ve separately loaded a library maybe you’ve backdated it?

The contents of Library 4.5 are listed here:

If your fixture is on that page from @alistermorton then you can just put it on a USB stick then use Setup->Load to get it into your console ready for patching. It will show in red as a ‘non-library fixture’.
